I would like to welcome my readers to the blog I will be keeping in support of my two novels.   In my bi-weekly articles, I plan to focus in large measure on the problems and issues I faced as I put my stories together, expand on some of the themes in both The Protector and its forthcoming prequel The Neville Inheritance, and explain a little bit about what it takes for me to write a novel.   Since I am in the process of writing the as-yet-untitled sequel to The Protector, I will likely be sharing and expanding on some of the issues I encounter as I go.  The process is never easy, but it is always rewarding.   From time to time, I may delve into other topics of importance to me that I hope might also interest some of my readers.

Most of the ideas for my blog seem to come to me as I’m out doing my daily three-mile walk.  Perhaps not coincidentally, that is also where I begin to envision many of the scenes in my novels.  It is as though while my body is working away at putting one foot in front of the other, my mind becomes engaged in different things altogether.  Often, I can’t wait until I get home and can write things down!
